Do you want what you already have?
Happiness and contentment is wanting what you have.
The problem is that our brains are constantly looking beyond, always planning, and never living in the now.
Kate Bowler wrote that her problem was "failing to love what is present and deciding to love what is possible instead." Does this resonate and do you feel this way?
For me, I feel this when I think about my business as an entrepreneur. I am always thinking about what is possible and what could be. Is this the same for you and your career? Or do you struggling with appreciating the present in another area of life?
Here are 2 ways that will help you love the life you are living right now:
#1 - Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude - Think about and write down who and what you are thankful for daily. Say it out loud daily.
#2 - Connect to your mortality - You and I may die soon...we never know. Think about the preciousness of being alive and all the gifts you have with your family, marriage, children, and health. Being a human includes suffering and challenges...and we get to do it all.
What would #3 be for you?
You are enough JUST as you are.
