Wonder if you are good enough as a working mom?

You can chose to update your beliefs to be more supportive.

How often are you thinking and questioning....Am I successful enough? Am I a good enough mom?

When you constantly question if you are good enough in one area or another, you are never able to relax. You feel anxious, worried, and unsettled. Society and social media give working moms SO MANY messages on how to be the "perfect mom" and it hurts us. You might over-work, over-volunteer for your kid's schools, not get enough sleep, and listen to the critical voice that doesn't support you.

When my older daughter was 3-years old and in pre-school, I did not tell myself I was a good mom. I was not able to pick her up from pre-school and had my nanny pick her up. I was The Director of Sales and Marketing for hotel in Los Angeles and needed to be there until 5 PM. I believed that in order to be a good mom, I had to pick her up. Is that based on truth, society's expectation, connected to what my mom did, or just a limiting belief?

Supportive Beliefs for Working Moms

1) Being a working mom does not have major negative effects on my children.

2) I am setting a great example for my children by working and having a purpose in addition to being a mom.

3) I have quality time with my children and this matters more than the quantity.

4) I have agency over my choices, thinking, and behaviors and I can make changes in my life to increase my happiness and well-being.

Practice repeating these beliefs daily and focus on a supportive mindset.

Your kids are so lucky to have you,
Tia
